Classification of technical application of choledochoscope

1. Intraoperative choledochoscope: The choledochoscope is inserted through the choledochoscope incision for examination and treatment.
2. Postoperative choledochoscopy: It refers to entering the biliary tract for examination and treatment through the T-tube sinus tract or the jejunal blind loop sinus tract after choledojejunostomy and the sinus tract after cholecystectomy.
3. Percutaneous transhepatic choledochoscopy (preoperative choledochoscopy) : refers to the non-surgical method of percutaneous transhepatic choledochoscopy (PTCD), followed by sinus dilation, and then fibrocholedochoscopy and treatment when the sinus is dilated enough to accommodate fibrocholedochoscopy into the biliary tract.
