Choledochoscopy is recommended for at least 6 weeks after laparotomy and at least 8 weeks after laparoscopic surgery. Patients with advanced age (≥70 years), malnutrition, severe diabetes, and long-term hormone use should be treated at least 12 weeks after surgery.
Patients with cirrhosis of ascites, hypoproteinemia and obvious abnormal coagulation function should be corrected as far as possible before choledochoscopy. Patients who are in urgent need of choledochoscopy may proceed as appropriate after weighing the advantages and disadvantages.
